Delta MS300 — ov DC Bus Overvoltage

Occurs when the DC bus voltage exceeds the limit. Fast deceleration and regenerative energy are the main causes.

Symptoms

  • ov trip on deceleration
  • Recurs on high-inertia loads
  • Occurs when supply is high

Probable Causes

  • Too-short decel time (Pr.01-13)
  • No/faulty brake resistor
  • Supply overvoltage

Checkpoints

  • Increase decel time (Pr.01-13)
  • Measure the brake resistor and connection
  • Check supply voltage

Solution

First extend the decel time. For frequent/fast stops a brake resistor is mandatory.
